2008 Lincoln MKT Concept
The Lincoln MKT constructed for the 2008 NAIAS was a fully running and functional concept vehicle built by Prefix Corporation.
Prefix was responsible for the following services:
- Design all B surface data, molds, offsets and part break-ups for the build process
- Machine and fabricate all tooling for the interior and exterior panels and glass drapes
- Machine, bench and finish wheels from aluminum
- Fabricate, machine all exterior and interior trim from brass or aluminum with hard chrome plating
- Fabricate all exterior and interior lighting beginning with: data, SLA, silicone tooling and cast parts or machined acrylic
- Fabricate, machine, trim complete seats including: frame, foam and trim panels
- Design and develop all mechanics & electronics including:
- Electronic transmission selection
- Electronic throttle position
- Electronic seat recline (4 seats)
- Electronic foot rest (2 Seats)
- Electronic thigh support (2 seats)
- Electronic swing and rotate DVD entertainment system
- Electronic functional rear cargo luggage divider system
- Electronic opening single hinge rear hatch (no struts)
- Electronic door latch release system (4 doors)
- Cut, sew, detail and leather wrap all interior trim components
- Design and integrate all electronics, vehicle controls, motion control and A/V systems
- Controlled by our exclusive “Prefix Pro-CVCS” (Programmable Concept Vehicle Control System)
